Grattitude

Hoof Trimming

Yesterday was chemo day number one.

I had such peace going into it, even hope and joy. I had expected to feel dread, fear, even terror. Guess that could be counted as a miracle, eh?

It went so incredibly well. The cancer centre is beautiful, the nurses amazing, and the doctors so caring. I’m so grateful.

And I had NO side-effects! Almost 24 hours out and I still have absolutely none. I feel fantastic. Now I know it’s early days but I’ll take this day of feeling well as another miracle.

Funny how the tiniest things are cause for gratitude now. Like trimming two hooves this morning, which is bloody hard work, especially with the dry conditions turning hooves into rocks. But the fact that I could do it feeling well and strong…so thankful.

Gratitude feels good.
